Vacancy: Collection Officer (Bakhouder)

The Government of Sint Maarten is currently seeking professionals to join the Sint Maarten Tax Administration team and actively contribute to the development of our country. Our Tax Administration aims to provide efficient, effective, and customer-oriented services while ensuring stable and growing tax revenues.

We are excited to announce an open position for a Collection Officer (Bakhouder).

Core Responsibilities:

  • Collect outstanding tax debt
  • Send out reminders
  • Give instructions to serve summons
  • Process requests for postponement of payment
  • Negotiate payment arrangements
  • Provide taxpayers with information
  • Receive, scan, and file tax-related documents

Qualifications:

  • MBO Diploma
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Friendly, dynamic, and strong personality
  • Must be integer, flexible and willing to learn
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch with a strong emphasis in the Dutch language.

Salary:

Depending on the level of knowledge and experience, the salary will vary between NAf. 2,819.00 and NAf. 6,070.00.
